I had the pleasure of reading Year of Little Lesson Plans: 10 Minutes of Smart, Fun Things to Teach Your Little Ninjas Ages Every Weekday written by Courtney Loquasto. This is a great book for mommies, grandparents, day care workers, and anyone who spends a decent amount of time with kids/5. At its heart, “Those Winter Sundays” is about love. No, not the ooey-gooey thing between young lovers like Romeo and Juliet, but the deep and serious familial love between a parent and a type of love that gets you up at the crack of dawn, even when you’re exhausted from a long week of hard work.

CN - this book does have some discussion of suicide, as well as some suicidal ideation, so probably a bad idea for anyone struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts.

This was a charming, if short novel. It's a bit slow in terms of plot, but there's a lot going on in terms of character, interior thoughts and prose, and I really enjoyed it.4/5.

We were but just settled, and now came another pleasant 4/5. story. Then I took the first chapters abroad during the winter to Valescure, and worked them in that fragrant, sunny spot, making acquaintance the while with a new and delightful friend, Emily Lawless, the author of _Hurrish_ and _Grania_, and of some few poems that deserve, I think, a long life in English anthologies.

She and her most. Some twelve months ago the Nunawading and Boroondara councils granted permission to Mr. Thomas Coates, hydraulic engineer, to lay down gas mains in the streets of the two shires.

The building was intended for a distillery. Three yoke of oxen were traded off for a double set of copper distilling apparatus. People for some inscrutable reason go to Spain for the winter. They had surely better remain in the mild and even climate of Ventnor or Torquay; for if the sample of autumn we were favoured with was supposed to be genial, the Fates and common sense defend us [Pg 49] against experimentalising with our miserable bodies upon the Spanish winter.

"A Little Bit of Winter" is a testament to friendship. The precise illustrations and depth of expression make the characters feel so very REAL, to children as well as adults. One can simply FEEL Rabbit's sadness and frustration at having to eat brown stuff, dig through mountains of snow AND be lonely on top of everything else/5(10).
